Perplexity's Sonar The series highlights search-augmented chat— answers will incorporate real-time web search, making it suitable for scenarios that require citing the latest information.

Get API Key

• Open Perplexity's API settings page(registration/login required first)
• Generate and copy an API key

Configure in Cherry Studio

1. Open Cherry Studio's model service settings, find in the built-in list Perplexity
2. Enter the API Key you just obtained
3. Click Get model list, add models such as Sonar, and turn on the provider toggle in the top-right corner to use them

Perplexity models come with built-in web search capabilities, so no extra web mode configuration is needed. Access from within China usually requires you to handle network proxy issues yourself. For more information, see Perplexity official documentation.
